Zuki Pet – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to the Zuki Pet website (the “Site”). These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern your use of the Site and any purchase you make from Zuki Pet (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site.

2. Definitions

  • “Customer” means any individual or entity who places an order through this Site.

  • “Products” means pet food products and related services offered by Zuki Pet.

  • “Order” means any request by a Customer to purchase Products from Zuki Pet.

  • “Site” means www.zuki.co.za and any subdomains of www.zuki.co.za.

3. Scope & Application
3.1 These T&Cs apply to all sales of Products made through the Site, regardless of where the Customer is located.
3.2 By placing an Order, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accept these T&Cs in their entirety.

4. Description of Goods and Services
Zuki Pet is a business in the pet food industry that offers a variety of premium pet nutrition products (kibble, wet food, supplements, etc.) and related services (consultations, delivery, etc.). Product descriptions, images, and pricing are subject to change without notice.

5. Price & Payment
5.1 All prices on the Site are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
5.2 Payment Options Accepted:

  • Visa

  • MasterCard

  • Diners Club

  • American Express

  • Bank Transfer (details provided upon request)
    5.3 Payment Security: All card transactions are processed via Payfast by Network (“Payfast”), the approved payment gateway for South African acquiring banks. Payfast uses Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) encryption. No card details are stored on the Site. You may review Payfast’s security certificate and policy at https://payfast.io/.
    5.4 Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency: Zuki Pet’s merchant outlet country is South Africa. All transactions are processed in ZAR.

6. Order Acceptance & Verification
6.1 Once you submit an Order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This email does not constitute acceptance of your Order; it is merely an acknowledgment.
6.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any Order for any reason, including stock unavailability or errors in pricing. If we cancel your Order after payment has been made, we will issue a full refund within 30 days.

7. Delivery Policy
7.1 Subject to availability and receipt of payment, Orders will be processed within 2 business days. Once dispatched, delivery will be confirmed via a booking number or voucher.
7.2 Delivery is carried out by reputable courier and/or postal services. Any associated delivery costs (if applicable) will be shown at checkout.
7.3 Export Restriction: All Products sold on this Site are available to South African clients only. We do not ship internationally.

8. Returns & Refunds Policy
8.1 Availability: All sales are subject to stock availability. In the event of unavailability, Zuki Pet will notify you promptly and issue a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
8.2 Cancellation by Customer: If you cancel your Order before it is dispatched.
8.3 Damaged Goods & Warranties:

  • If you receive damaged or defective goods, please contact customer service at hello@zuki.co.za within 7 days of delivery.

  • Provide photographs and a description of the damage.

  • We will arrange for either a replacement or refund at our discretion.

  • All Products carry the manufacturer’s warranty (if any).

9. Customer Privacy & Data Protection
9.1 Zuki Pet takes all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users, as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
9.2 Payfast by Network’s Privacy Policy is available at https://payfast.io/privacy-policy/.
9.3 Customer Details Separate from Card Details: Customer information is stored by Zuki Pet. Card details are entered directly on Payfast’s secure site; Zuki Pet does not retain card data.

10. Liability & Indemnity
10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zuki Pet’s liability for any claim arising from or in connection with these T&Cs or your use of the Site (including but not limited to Product liability, contract, or delict) is limited to the purchase price of the relevant Product.
10.2 Zuki Pet will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data.
10.3 You agree to indemnify and hold Zuki Pet, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, demand, or damage, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of your breach of these T&Cs or your misuse of the Site.

11. Intellectual Property
11.1 All content on the Site—text, graphics, logos, images, and software—is the property of Zuki Pet or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
11.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any content from the Site without Zuki Pet’s prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Links & Services
12.1 The Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Payfast). We do not control or endorse those websites. Your use of any third-party website is at your own risk and subject to that website’s own terms and privacy policies.
12.2 We recommend you review any third-party terms before using their services.

13. Country of Domicile & Governing Law
13.1 These T&Cs are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

14. Variation
14.1 Zuki Pet reserves the right to modify or update these T&Cs at any time, without prior notice.
14.2 Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated T&Cs.
14.3 It is your responsibility to review these T&Cs periodically.

15. Force Majeure
Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fires, floods, riots, acts of war, governmental action, or disruptions to utilities.

16. Severability
If any provision of these T&Cs is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be struck out and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement
These T&Cs, together with any documents expressly referred to herein (e.g., Privacy Policy), constitute the entire agreement between you and Zuki Pet regarding the use of the Site and purchase of Products, superseding any prior agreements.
