Puppy Food
Puppy food for small, medium and large breeds from Hill's, Royal Canin and Pro Plan.

About puppy food
Puppies grow fast, and what they eat in their first year lays the foundation for strong bones, healthy joints and a robust immune system. Puppy food is made for exactly that stage: it is more energy-dense than adult food and carefully balanced for protein, fat, calcium and phosphorus, so your puppy grows at a steady, healthy rate. The right formula depends mostly on your puppy's expected adult size. Small and mini breeds mature quickly and need small kibble packed with energy, while large and giant breeds grow for longer and need controlled calcium and calories to protect developing joints. At ZUKI Pet Shop you can choose from trusted brands including Hill's Science Plan, Royal Canin, Purina Pro Plan, Eukanuba, Acana, Orijen, Montego, Ultra Pet and Olympic, in dry and wet options, plus breed-specific puppy formulas for Labradors, German Shepherds, Dachshunds and more. How to choose puppy food
- Match the formula to your puppy's expected adult size: small and mini, medium, or large and giant breed.
- Keep small and medium breeds on puppy food until about 12 months; large and giant breeds usually stay on it until 15 to 24 months.
- Follow the feeding guide on the bag, weigh portions, and adjust as your puppy grows and according to body condition.
- When changing food, mix the new food in gradually over about 7 days to avoid tummy upsets.
- Adding wet food to kibble can help fussy eaters; just reduce the dry portion so the total stays within the daily guide.

Puppy food FAQs
When should I switch my puppy to adult food?
Most small and medium breeds can move to adult food at around 12 months. Large and giant breeds grow for longer and usually stay on a large breed puppy food until 15 to 24 months. Your vet can confirm the right time for your dog.
Why does breed size matter for puppy food?
Small breeds mature quickly and need energy-dense food in a smaller kibble. Large breeds grow over a longer period and benefit from controlled calcium and calories, which support steady growth and healthy joint development.
How do I change my puppy's food?
Introduce the new food over about 7 days, starting with a small amount mixed into the old food and increasing it each day. If your puppy has ongoing diarrhoea or vomiting, speak to your vet.
